Chris Petro

Dscoop Chairman

President and CEO, GlobalSoft Digital Solutions

USA

At GlobalSoft, Chris Petro is responsible for keeping the company abreast with the leading edge digital technology and targeted marketing strategies available to its clients. He also is responsible for establishing and deploying the company's strategic, financial, and human resource initiatives. He is also currently spearheading the company's European location launch. Prior to founding GlobalSoft, Chris was the pioneer of the Personalization Division at Uarco. Petro received a bachelor’s in international business administration from William Paterson University. He is a member of NAPL, The Bergen 200 Club, NJSIAA and currently serves as a board member of the Hewlett Packard Digital Print Advisory Council.

Alon Bar-Shany

Vice President and General Manager, Indigo Division, HP

Alon Bar-Shany is vice president and general manager of the Indigo Division in the Imaging and Printing Group at HP. Based in Rehovot, Israel, he has held worldwide responsibility for the HP Indigo business since 2004. Prior to this role, he ran the Indigo business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). From 2001 to 2002, Bar-Shany was responsible for the HP Indigo business in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Israel as well as the distributor channels in EMEA. During this period, he also led the cross-organizational program for the industrial segment. Bar-Shany also served as chief financial officer and corporate vice president of finance of Indigo. He holds a bachelor of arts in history and economics and an MBA from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Craig Curran

Vice President of Sales, Nosco

USA

 Craig Curran joined Nosco in February 2005. Curran’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership for sales and customer service at Nosco, driving the growth goals of the company and providing Nosco's customers with an outstanding experience. Curran also works with global pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, and animal health related accounts to help them achieve their packaging objectives. He has more than 25 years of packaging experience in all forms of labels (pressure-sensitive, glue applied, in-mold, beverage, etc.) as well as cartons. Curran is a noted author on a variety of package printing topics and frequently speaks at industry trade conferences. He has served as the chair of the Dscoop Label and Packaging Committee in since 2007 and continues to serve as a great advocate of Dscoop to all Label and Packaging members.

Erwin Koerts

Technical Director, Drukkerij Aeroprint (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

The Netherlands

After receiving technical graphical education in Utrecht, Erwin Koerts started working in one of his family’s companies in Amsterdam while studying graphical marketing and management at Stivako. Koerts also received training at De Baak Management Center specializing in family business before taking over the family company along with his brother in 2011. Aeroprint was established in 1968 and was one of the first Dutch companies engaging in digital print starting in 1995. 

David Minnett

Managing Director, Group Momentum

Australia

Since 1992, under David Minnett’s leadership, Momentum has grown into a diverse business offering an integrated communications consultancy with a strong involvement in relevant and emergent technologies.
In 2004 Minnett established Momentum Digital Direct Marketing, a full service direct marketing agency to sit at the forefront of multi-channel direct marketing activities in the Australian marketplace. In conjunction with Group Momentum’s technology partners, Minnett has established several key strategic alliances in Europe and the U.S. to work on developing local area marketing Web-to-print storefront-based applications. Minnett is an active member of the Australian Graphic Design Association, Australian Writers and Art Directors Association and the Direct Marketing Association (U.S.).

Yukinori Okamoto

Partner and Executive Managing Director, FIS

Japan

Yukinori "Yuki" Okamoto is a partner and executive managing director of FIS located in Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1981, FIS is the premier in-plant, Web-to-print and digital printing company in Japan. Okamoto spent 15 years in the U.S. and was involved in various venture projects. He leveraged this entrepreneurial background, along with a deep understanding of IT business development strategy, when he returned to Japan to become one of the leading digital printing service provider. He is considered a digital printing applications thought-leader in Japan and is influential in industry groups and hardware manufacturing marketing committees.

Gary Peeling

Managing Director, Precision Printing Co Ltd. 

U.K.

Over the past 25 years, Peeling has worked to build and develop Precision Printing. His work at Precision has enabled him to indulge his passion for solution-building as the company has delivered successful print management systems across multiple sectors to corporate clients such as American Express and Sony. The company has also supported leading consumer brands in the photo, greeting card and self-publishing space, delivering the results that printing as physical media can uniquely bring. Peeling is passionate about developing print media and his business, working and innovating to ensure the future of both by pioneering new techniques in digital print production, seamless print integration, automated workflow solutions, photo product production, litho, and digital print hubs and Web-to-print. 

Jan Riecher

Vice President and General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP

Jan Riecher is vice president and general manager of the U.S. Graphics Solutions Business (GSB) in the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) at HP. In this role, Riecher leads efforts in the graphic arts market, including overall regional responsibilities large-format printers (HP Designjet and HP Scitex), HP Indigo digital presses, the High-speed Production Solutions division (HP Inkjet Web Press), HP Specialty Systems and Light Production Solutions.

Larry Vaughn

President, Ideal Printers

USA

Larry Vaughn has been in the graphic arts industry since 1978. He started his career with Moore Paper Company that year, and spent about four years with them. In 1982, Vaughn founded Ideal Printers in Houston, Texas. What started out with one small press and two employees has grown into the fifth largest printing company in Houston. Ideal Printers now has 112 employees, a variety of commercial presses, and handles printing, warehousing, kitting and distribution while operating 24/7. Vaughn also served two years on the HP Digital Printing Advisory Council as one of the original board members.

   

Eric Hawkinson

Executive Director, Dscoop

Eric Hawkinson is the founding Executive Director for Dscoop. Serving in this capacity since 2005, Hawkinson partners with the Dscoop Board of Directors to establish the organization as the premier HP Graphic Arts user group. Under Hawkinson’s direction, Dscoop has grown to 5,500 members worldwide and hosts an annual conference that brings more than 2,000 members together.

Leta Wood

HP Executive Liaison

As Customer Forums manager for HP Graphics Arts, Leta Wood integrates customer knowledge and feedback into the marketing and product strategies of HP. Wood develops and leads customer advisory groups that regularly provide feedback to HP, which allows for a 360-degree focus on customer needs and visions—items that are critical as HP creates long-term business strategies and products. She also serves as the liaison between Dscoop and HP. In this position, she provides strategic insight and education to thousands of HP Graphic Arts users throughout the year.
